Thank you!

My heartfelt thanks to each and everyone who joined me and my family yesterday to remember Robert and to celebrate his life. To our friends in the local restaurants, the food and beverage purveyors, the many special friends who showed the love and pulled off the best "boz-fest" ever, I am truly grateful for your outpour of support. You honored Boz in the way which reflected his spirit and his zest for life. Thank you, Dave Snyder, you made him proud to have known you! Boz was undoubtedly smiling, chuckling, and with a final comment, "What, you couldn't get Mario Batali to come?"
Thank you all! Boz was proud to have shared your passion for food, spirits, and the art of entertaining. In his words, "It was epic!"

Boz Chronicles

Thank y'all for all of your kind words over the past few days. We are thankful for friends and family as we remember and celebrate the life of one of the Island's most beloved treasures, Robert "Boz" Bostock. Stop by and see us and raise a glass to a great friend. Boz would like it that way

Robert “Boz” Charlton Bostock, 61, died June 5, 2013 at his home in St. Simons Island, Georgia. Robert is survived by his wife, Mary Hamrick Bostock; Carlton Bostock of Austin, Texas; Jocelyn Bostock of St. Simons Island, Georgia; Emily Laborde Hines of Athens, Georgia; Keith Laborde of St. Simons Island, Georgia; and Madeline Laborde of St. Simons Island, Georgia; his brothers Steve Bostock of Birmingham, Alabama; and Cliff Bostock of Atlanta, Georgia. He was a well-loved and respected member of the Golden Isles community. A great friend to many, he undoubtedly left the impression that each of his friends were indeed his “best” friend.

The service will be held at the Strickland Center at Epworth by the Sea on Monday, June 10, 2013 at 4pm. Immediately following will be a gathering at Gascoigne Bluff to celebrate his life.
